Flemington R4 No.2 The Bopper

The Bopper (2) looks hard to beat here with even luck. His last four efforts have been terrific, winning in a slick 56.5 seconds over this trip at Eagle Farm two-back. He did a good job to close as well as he did in the G2 Challenge Stakes (1000m) last start in an on-pace dominated affair. With a hot speed and (hopefully) plenty of room to move here, he should be flying at the business end.

Rosehill R2 No.3 The Years

The Black Opal looks a strong race and The Years (3) comes up as my Best Bet and looks well suited up to 1400m. He blitzed them at Kembla on soft going over 1300m before leading them up in the Black Opal which was a fast and awkwardly run race. He kicked on to be beaten 2L by a smart one, looks to get a softer lead and should take running down.

Flemington R9 No.4 Bellinger

Bellinger (4) is racing in career-best form and this isn’t an overly strong race. He defeated Chicago Storm by 2.7L last start, with that galloper then scoring easily at Morphettville Parks last Saturday. Lafferty has options from barrier seven and the $11 on offer in early markets looks overs.
